Coriander is a delicious herb to eat but a fickle plant to grow. Coriander can be grown outside in a garden or indoors in containers.

While you can’t regrow a whole carrot from your discarded carrot tops, you can regrow the tender and succulent green carrot tops, which can make a cracking pesto!

Supported through Veolia Lambeth’s Recycling Fund for Communities, discarded wood pallets have been collected from Brixton market by social enterprise InUse-ReUse, and transformed into bespoke benches for Slade Gardens in Stockwell, less than a mile down the road from where the pallets were first used.

To grow sweet potatoes we first have to nurture ‘slips’ from our kitchen leftovers. Slips are small sprouts that are grown from pre-existing sweet potato plants.
