We were commissioned by one of our regular clients to plant up the beautiful apartments in a new tower on the Greenwich Peninsula, to complement the Tom Dixon interior design.
We ordered over 1,000 plants for indoors & out, from tiny, creeping ground covers to huge Monstera (swiss-cheese plants). Planting around the swimming pool was particularly challenging, because the ambient temperature in the room is about 30 degrees, meaning that many plants simply cannot handle the constant loss of water this causes.
The conditions on the rooftop are also challenging. On the 15th floor, looking east over the Thames, the wind is extreme & consistent, severely limiting the choice of plants we could use. It also made doing the installation quite complex, as lots of things had to be weighed down or risk vanishing over the edge!
