As part of our ongoing partnership with Lambeth Council, we returned to a community garden we first refurbished in 2018.
Staff from the Hoxton Hotel helped out on day 1, transforming the existing lean-to into a greenhouse, extending some raised beds, clearing the weeds and fixing the compost bin. We also took the opportunity to plant up the Jubilee community hall garden. There was an unloved area and we planted some drought-tolerant plants to add some colour.
On a lovely warm Tuesday evening, we had Goodgym volunteers come to help weed the path and spread mulch. We also managed to rebuild the raised bed that was rotting. A group of children also came to do some food growing in the refurbished space.
