After a successful set of weekly workshops in the spring and summer terms, we expanded our education program to cater for their pupils in Key Stage 4 (14-16 years old). We offered them a suite of Entry and Pre-Entry level qualifications via AQA. By the end of the school year, each participant had a series of credits to help them progress into the workplace when they left school. And they had loads of fun in the process!
We also enlisted the students to transform their limited front garden from a neglected, barren courtyard into a series of raised beds with low maintenance shrubs, demonstrating to them what could be achieved in an afternoon of collaborative work in the summer sun.
