It’s been a busy week of greening London. Even with the shorter, wetter days of winter descending, we’ve been gardening across the city with local residents & businesses.
Wellbeing & Social Impact
All this month we are improving the communal areas of Lambeth council estates with local residents. We want to engage as many people as possible every weekend in November.
We’ve spent the past 10 days refurbishing a communal garden in Brent, at the thriving community centre The Granville.
Urban Growth London is being featured in the Social Summer campaign – a showcase of ethical Summer holiday activities in the UK which highlights organisations which are giving something back to their communities.

We’ve completed our second day on site and it’s safe to say there are a few aching muscles, but also plenty of satisfaction as we planted the first tree!
We are under way to with the first exciting project of the year, the creation of the Brixton Orchard near St. Mathews Church.
