In The RHS Garden Magazine!

We were delighted to be mentioned in the RHS Garden magazine this month, as part of a story about one of our beneficiaries, Peter.

Peter’s story is a perfect example of why we do what we do.

After first meeting in our sessions at the Community Shop in West Norwood, we encouraged him to join us at the Brixton Orchard to spend more time with urban flora and fauna.

The Brixton Orchard was designed as an open-access, safe space where people can connect with nature, with each other and with themselves. And Peter is not the only person for whom it was a step on the path of personal development. Our own Dorothy first started volunteering there with us, caught the gardening bug and is now a member of the core Urban Growth team!
